{"id":24,"date":"2006-01-24T22:45:29","date_gmt":"2006-01-25T04:45:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/genshi.com\/news\/?p=24"},"modified":"2011-01-11T11:28:16","modified_gmt":"2011-01-11T18:28:16","slug":"white-limousine-dvd","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/genshi.com\/news\/?p=24","title":{"rendered":"White Limousine DVD"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In association with\u00a0<strong>M-Audio<\/strong> and Grammy Award winning artist<strong> Duncan Sheik<\/strong>, Genshi Media Group&#8217;s founder Craig Anthony Perkins was commissioned\u00a0to take Duncan&#8217;s entire album,\u00a0<em>&#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/White-Limousine-Duncan-Sheik\/dp\/B000C8STJ4\/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&amp;s=music&amp;qid=1235239607&amp;sr=8-1\" target=\"_blank\">White Limousine<\/a><\/em><em>&#8220;<\/em> and create an Ableton Live remix session and lesson for the album. In other words, the CD (labeled <em>Mine<\/em>) will come with a second disc, a DVD (labeled\u00a0<em>Yours<\/em>) with all twelve songs set up in the Ableton Live format so that they can be remixed in any way you that you desire &#8211; along with a link to an installable version of Ableton Live software.\u00a0Included is also a built-in tutorial to help get you started with remixing Mr. Sheik&#8217;s songs.<\/p>\n<p>Craig worked with Duncan&#8217;s engineer, Kevin Killen, to acquire the original Pro Tool sessions which Craig then converted to the Ableton Live format. He then called on the assistance of Duncan&#8217;s drummer, Doug Yowell, to work on the timing of each of the instrument &#8220;stems&#8221; to ensure each individual instrument track worked together within Ableton Live.
