Genshi Media Group recently had the good pleasure to have been commissioned by the fine folks at Pattern Making Co to compose several tracks for their new iPhone game called Radius. We are very excited to be working with them and look forward to a long and prosperous future in contributing music and sounds to their games.

The game is already out and available on the iPhone’s App Store but the music is not in it yet; should be in by the next free update (version 1.04) coming shortly.

ZERO:GENSHI has re-released The Alison Sessions, a project by label owner Craig Anthony Perkins under his pseudonym jido-genshi. The Alison Sessions is available at iTunes Music Store and Amazon MP3 downloads store.

ZERO:GENSHI, the record label division of Genshi Media Group has released label owner Craig Anthony Perkins’ latest album under his pseudonym jido-genshi, The WarmWetLow out now on iTunes Music Store and Amazon’s MP3 downloads store.

In association with M-Audio and Grammy Award winning artist Duncan Sheik, Genshi Media Group’s founder Craig Anthony Perkins was commissioned to take Duncan’s entire album, “White Limousine“ and create an Ableton Live remix session and lesson for the album. In other words, the CD (labeled Mine) will come with a second disc, a DVD (labeled Yours) with all twelve songs set up in the Ableton Live format so that they can be remixed in any way you that you desire – along with a link to an installable version of Ableton Live software. Included is also a built-in tutorial to help get you started with remixing Mr. Sheik’s songs.

Craig worked with Duncan’s engineer, Kevin Killen, to acquire the original Pro Tool sessions which Craig then converted to the Ableton Live format. He then called on the assistance of Duncan’s drummer, Doug Yowell, to work on the timing of each of the instrument “stems” to ensure each individual instrument track worked together within Ableton Live. The result is a fun and creative way to explore the world of remixing with an artist’s full album; the first time a full release has been offered in this sort of format.

Ableton Live 4 CSi Master is the CD-ROM training program that we wrote and created for Thomson Course Technology PTR. This can be bought through various music retailers such as Guitar Center or Sam Ash, or online through Amazon.com, M-Audio.com or direct from CoursePTR.com.

 Congratulations to Craig Anthony Perkins for winning the 2002 Telly award for best jingle for the “Get Tech” TV commercial! Craig composed and performed the music for the commercial, which was produced and directed by the non-profit organization Women In Film for the U.S. Department of Commerce’s technology-based educational program, GetTech.org.

This hip hop based commercial, in which a group of kids rap about the importance of science and math education in a fun way, wound up playing in over 250 cities throughout the United States.

Premiering at the Kodak screening room in Hollywood, “No Way In” is a short film directed by Sam Mussari and is nominated for best experimental film at the 2000 Los Angeles International Film Fest.

Genshi Media Group’s Craig Anthony Perkins scored the music for the film as well as performed location sound recording and sound design duties. Craig also created the movie poster for the film as well as publicity cards.
